CASE STUDY:
Pool Deck and Veranda
Bethesda, Maryland
After Photos: (Click to view enlarged photo)

Our customer wanted more than a pool deck. They wanted a pool deck, planter
boxes and a veranda. They needed to replace an old concrete deck which
was in poor condition (see photo below). For the stone, they
decided to use Pennsylvania Flagstone for the deck itself. For the two
planter boxes they decided on Flacon Mist thin stone veneer. They picked
the Falcon Mist because of its well rounded medium color range. The planter
box near the pool was put in as part of a three tier wall, which also
included blue flagstone pool coping, spot lighting and 3 lions head
fountains.

The veranda was added to the home to provide a charming sheltered area
to relax in and enjoy the pool in all weather conditions. We created
a custom framed roof truss with vaulted ceilings and then used HBG square
style columns. The roof was finished with shingles to match the existing
roof. On the interior a ceiling
fan and recessed lighting were installed.
